Weekday Return Policy (UK): 30-Day Returns & £4 Fee Explained
Ordered jeans or a hoodie from Weekday and now you’re not sure about the fit? Before you send anything back, it helps to know
exactly how their UK return policy works. The basics: you usually have 30 days to return, there’s a
£4 return fee per order, and online orders can’t be taken back to UK stores.
Key Points at a Glance
- Return window: Most items bought online from Weekday UK have a 30-day return period.
- Return fee: For orders placed on or after 5 June, a £4 fee per order is deducted from your refund.
- Condition: Items must be clean, unworn and have all tags still attached.
- Hygiene rules: Underwear briefs, bodies and pierced jewellery can’t be returned unless faulty. Swimwear must still have the hygiene strip. Cosmetics and perfume must be unopened.
- Online vs store: Items bought online cannot be refunded or exchanged in UK Weekday stores (only Sweden and the Netherlands are exceptions).
- Holiday extension: Purchases made between 14 November and 14 December can be returned until the end of January.
- Refund timing: Weekday aims to refund within 14 days after your return reaches their warehouse.
- Delivery refund: When you return the whole order, they refund the order value and standard delivery cost, minus the return fee.
How Long You Have to Return
Weekday combines your legal “cooling-off” period with their own extra days:
- By law, you have 14 days from the day after you receive your order to tell them you’re cancelling.
- On top of that, Weekday adds another 16 days as an extended return window.
- So in total, you get a 30-day return period for most orders made on weekday.com in the UK.
As long as your parcel is handed over to the carrier within those 30 days and the items meet the condition rules, Weekday will
accept the return and process a refund (minus the return fee).
Holiday / Christmas Returns Extension
Around Christmas, the standard window is extended. For the current pattern:
- Orders placed between 14 November and 14 December can be returned up until 31 January.
- Everything else still needs to be returned within the usual 30 days.
The exact dates may shift slightly year by year, but the idea is the same: anything bought in mid-November to mid-December gets a
longer grace period so it can be given as a gift.
Returns After 30 Days
Weekday treats 30 days as the official limit. They say they reserve the right to refund late returns with an
e-Merchandise Card instead of back to your original payment method, but you should not rely on late returns being accepted as standard. Always aim to send things back within the 30-day window.
Return Fee: How Much It Costs
Weekday now charges a small fee for processing online returns in the UK:
- For orders placed before 5 June, the fee shown is £2.90 per order.
- For orders placed on or after 5 June, the fee is £4 per order.
- The fee is deducted from your refund, not paid separately at the post office.
- If you send back several orders in one parcel, the fee is still applied per order, not per box.
So if you return a £70 order placed after 5 June, you’ll usually see £66 back in your account (assuming you sent the whole order back
and used Weekday’s return methods).
Where You Can (and Can’t) Return
Online Orders from Weekday.com
- Must be returned by post or courier using the methods Weekday provides.
- Cannot be refunded or exchanged in any UK Weekday store.
- The only exceptions are Sweden and the Netherlands, where some stores do accept online returns — this does not apply in the UK.
Items Bought in Weekday Stores
Purchases made in a UK Weekday shop are handled directly in store:
- You return them to a Weekday store in the same country.
- Bring the items in original condition plus your receipt or proof of purchase.
- Refunds are normally made back to the same payment method you used in store.
In-store purchases don’t go through the online returns centre, and online purchases aren’t handled at UK tills, so always follow the
route that matches where you bought.
Weekday Items Bought via H&M Online
If you ordered Weekday products through H&M’s website (rather than directly from Weekday), the rules are different:
- Those orders must be returned to H&M online following the instructions in your H&M parcel.
- You can’t return H&M-sourced Weekday orders to Weekday stores or through the Weekday returns portal.
How to Return a Weekday Online Order (UK)
For UK customers, Weekday offers several return options. All of them require you to pack items properly and include the return form.
Step 1: Fill in the Return Form
- Use the physical return form included with your parcel.
- Tick the items you are returning and choose a reason from the list.
- If you return items from more than one order in the same box, put the return form for each order inside.
Step 2: Pack Your Items
- Use the original packaging if possible, or another strong bag/box.
- Fold items neatly; keep tags attached.
- Seal the parcel securely so it doesn’t open in transit.
Step 3: Attach the Return Label
- Stick the self-adhesive return label from your parcel onto the outside of the box.
- If you need a new label, Weekday links to replacement options (for example via Evri, Royal Mail or UPS) in the return policy.
Return Options for England, Wales & Scotland
1. InPost Locker / Shop
- Create a QR code using the InPost Returns Portal.
- Take your parcel to an InPost locker or shop, scan the code and drop it off.
- You don’t need to print a label; the courier attaches one when they pick up the parcel.
2. Evri Drop-Off or Home Collection
- Stick the provided Evri return label onto your parcel.
- Either:
- Book a home collection, or
- Drop it at your nearest Evri ParcelShop.
- Evri gives you a drop-off or collection receipt, which you should keep until your refund arrives.
3. UPS (Express Orders)
- If your order was delivered by UPS Express, it must be returned via UPS.
- Register your return through the link Weekday provides to create a UPS return label.
- Drop your parcel at a UPS Access Point or request a home collection.
Return Options for Northern Ireland
- Orders from Northern Ireland must be returned via UPS only.
- Use the order number starting with E when booking the return (you’ll find it on your return note).
- Create a UPS label using Weekday’s link, then drop off at an Access Point or arrange a collection.
For every method, always keep your proof of posting or collection slip until your money is back in your account.
Condition Rules & Hygiene Exclusions
General Condition
Weekday will only accept returns that are still in a state where they can be sold again:
- Items must be clean, unworn and unwashed.
- All original tags and labels must still be attached.
- No obvious smells, make-up marks, deodorant stains, pet hair or other signs of wear.
If something comes back damaged or clearly used, Weekday can reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value, or send it back to you.
Hygiene-Sensitive Products
- Underwear briefs and bodies – cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty.
- Pierced jewellery – non-returnable unless faulty.
- Swimwear – can only be returned if the hygiene strip is still in place and the item is clearly unused.
- Cosmetics and perfume – can only be returned if the product is unopened.
- Personalised or custom-made items – not returnable for change of mind; only if defective or damaged.
When You Get Your Refund & What You’ll Receive
Once your return has been handed over:
- It can take up to 14 days for the parcel to reach Weekday and be processed.
- After that, they issue your refund to the same payment method you used.
- You’ll receive a return confirmation email when they have processed everything.
If you return the entire order within the allowed time:
- Weekday refunds:
- The full value of the items, plus
- The standard delivery cost you originally paid.
- They then deduct the £4 return fee (or £2.90 for older orders) from that total.
- If you chose a more expensive delivery option, only the standard part is refunded.
Your bank or card provider may need a few extra working days after Weekday processes the refund before the money shows in your account.
Faulty, Damaged or Wrong Items
Everything so far has been about “change of mind” returns. If something is actually wrong with your order, you have stronger protection.
- If an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, you should:
- Note this clearly on the return form, and / or
- Contact Weekday customer service with your order number and photos.
- Once they confirm the problem, standard outcomes are:
- A full refund, or
- Support with getting a replacement by placing a new order.
- For genuine faults or shipping mistakes, you shouldn’t end up paying the return costs yourself when you follow their instructions.
Your normal UK consumer rights sit on top of this – including your right to reject faulty goods within a short time and the right
to a repair or replacement during the first six months.
